Coverage and employee constraints can outweigh the preference for continuous shifts.

How the Scheduler Builds Your Week
The scheduler checks what needs to be staffed, who can do each job and when each employee is available. It fills required work without double-booking employees, then uses your preferences to choose between valid schedules. Anything it cannot cover is listed with the reason.
Workstation coverage comes first. Opening hours and active workstation slots define the required employee-hours. Each slot can receive at most one employee.
Employees must be compatible and available. The generator checks role, workstation threshold, availability, weekly limits, overlaps and the 12-hour daily maximum.
Employee demands are respected by default. Choose Allow conflicts if needed to cover more work and accept clearly marked conflicts. Scheduling preferences only rank otherwise valid schedules. They never break the rules above, such as availability, weekly limits or one shift per employee.
A partial schedule does not always mean you need more employees. Compatible hours can be sufficient overall while the wrong roles or time windows still create gaps.
