Why Isn't My Factory Producing?

Production checks run in operational order. The first failed condition is the most useful place to investigate.

Production Doesn't End at the Workstation

A healthy factory can still leave stores empty when storage, destinations or delivery routes become the bottleneck.

How Factory Production Works in Big Ambitions

Recipes define ingredients and output. Every current factory recipe connects one or more input items to a fixed base output. The Recipe Finder uses the current production data in both directions, so an output finds its recipe and an ingredient can find the products that consume it.

Each recipe belongs to a compatible workstation. Food, consumer goods, bottled goods, clothing, garden, electronics and jewelry production use different assembly and production-machine families. A valid recipe still needs its matching equipment to operate.

Factory Worker skill changes actual recipe output. The recovered production path scales base output from 50% at Skill 0 to 100% at Skill 100. This path uses raw Factory Worker skill; employee satisfaction is not an additional multiplier in that output formula.

Production also depends on storage and distribution. An open factory with workers and ingredients can stop when output space is full or a Produce Up To limit is reached. After production, warehouse stock, Logistics Manager destination capacity, vehicles and delivery routes determine whether finished goods reach a selling business.
