What to check

  1. 1Required item exists
  2. 2Item is in the employee workplace
  3. 3Employee is assigned to the correct building

If it still shows as unmet

Buying the item is not always enough; placement, workplace assignment and—in storage/showcase cases—valid cargo can matter.

Schedule Demands Can Block Auto Scheduling

Some demands are solver constraints, not merely preferences checked after a schedule exists. Strict assignment respects them before later passes consider relaxing optional constraints.

No Cleaning is an assignment rule

During strict workstation matching, an employee with No Cleaning can reject Cleaning-type workstations even when they have Cleaning as a secondary skill.

Schedule example

No Afternoon

14:00–16:00

000408121624

Orange hours are restricted. A later relaxed scheduling pass can violate optional constraints and mark the result as non-optimal.

Equipment Demands Depend on Context

Buying an item is not always enough. The requirement may inspect the building, or it may inspect what the employee actually works on.

Item exists in the building

A valid item must be present in the employee's assigned workplace. Storage and showcase items may also need valid cargo with an amount above zero.

Office Phone · Printer · Fridge

Employee works on the item

The assigned workstation, its parent, or a valid attachment must match the demand. The same item elsewhere in the building is not enough.

Office Chair · Office Desk

Fridge exists

Correct building

Contains valid cargo and amount > 0 when the item rule requires it

How Job Demands Affect Employee Satisfaction

Demand fulfillment sets a satisfaction target: up to 34% fulfilled targets 60, above 34% through 67% targets 80, and above 67% targets 100.

Higher satisfaction target

Better retention and natural growth eligibility

How Job Demands Work in Big Ambitions

Employees can receive different types of demands. Schedule constraints, equipment, workplace environment and health insurance each use a different fulfillment check.

Some demands affect scheduling directly. Time restrictions, free days, weekly-hour ranges and No Cleaning can enter strict solver constraints before optional rules are relaxed.

Equipment demands depend on context. Some check for an item in the assigned building, while workstation demands check the employee’s actual station, parent or attachment.

Demand fulfillment feeds into satisfaction. Fulfilled and unfulfilled demands move satisfaction toward recovered target bands, which then connects to retention and the satisfaction gate for natural skill growth.
